INFORMATION AND PROGRAMME


Thursday, 5 September 2013


1.                     Arrival of Delegates at Bhopal railway station/Airport. (Please stand near the Station Manager’s room where Comrade Satish Saxena (Phone N0.: 09303104780) will meet you and take you to Vigyan Bhavan, venue of the conference and the delegates’ camp, at Nehru Nagar.
2.                     Only Dinner at 8 p.m. at Vigyan Bhawan No programme during day

Friday, 6 Sept. 2013


1.                        Breakfast from 8 a.m.
2.                        IFWJ working committee meets at 9:00 a.m. : Vigyan Bhavan hall.
3.                     Inaugural function : 11 a.m. : M.P. Chief Minister,            Mr. Shivraj Singh Chauhan, and other ministers to address Com. K. Vikram Rao to provide.
4.                     Lunch : 1:15 p.m. (afternoon)
5.                     Debate at 2:30 p.m. on Government proposals :                
(a) Minimum qualification for journalists, and
(b) Regulatory body for media.
6.                     Sight-seeing of Bhoj temple : 4:30 p.m.

Saturday 7 Sept 2013

1.                     Breakfast at 8 a.m.
2.                     At 9 a.m. IFWJ working committee discusses organizational matters and finalises the National Council venue at Madurai (Tamil Nadu) or Gulbarga (bordering Hyderabad) in Karnataka in December. The Working Committee will also decide on the proposal of the Uttarakhand union for a seminar onGanga Action Plan at Rishikesh on 19-21 October 2013.
3.                     M.P. Governor Sri Ram Naresh Yadav to address the closing function at Vigyan Bhavan 11 a.m.
4.                     Lunch at 1 p.m. (afternoon)
5.                     Seminar after lunch on social media and its use and abuse.
6.                     Bhopal Tour at 4:30 p.m. Departure for railway station after dinner.
7.                     Those who remain will be served breakfast on Sunday morning, 8 September, and dropped at the Bhopal railway station.

Visit to Bhutan
An invitation from BhutanMediapersons for study tour by IFWJ members in November 2013 is also on the Working Committee agenda. Dates of the visit will be finalized in Bhopal. About 95 delegates from different states will join the IFWJ team.
